The Fondation de Luxembourg was launched by the State of Luxembourg and the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte early January 2009 with the objective of promoting private philanthropic commitments. The Fondation de Luxembourg has been set up to fill the gap created by the lack of an independent advisory structure in Luxembourg specialized in philanthropy, which potential donors may contact to implement their projects.
