Opening digital pathways to success for Malagasy youth

Madagascar is among the 5 poorest countries in the world, with only 11% of the population having formal employment. Despite this, the country faces a strong need for skilled workers in the digital sector. Given that two thirds of the population is under 25, this presents a huge opportunity for the youth of the country to break the cycle of poverty and contribute to Madagascar's economic development.

In this vein, Passerelles Numériques Madagasikara (PNM) works to equip vulnerable Malagasy youth with quality training in IT that combines digital, soft and professional skills. that are adapted to Madagascar's labour market. Over the course of one year, 50 Malagasy youth are able to benefit from programming designed to help them enter higher education in the digital sector, alongside financial and socio-educative support to ease this journey until they are able to find sustainable employment.
