Press release: Two new members appointed to the Board of Directors

Danièle Wagener and Yves Kuhn have recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Fondation de Luxembourg.

The Fondation de Luxembourg recently welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors, chaired by Henri Grethen: Danièle Wagener, Vice-President of the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, appointed in April 2021, and Yves Kuhn, former Chief Investment Officer of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg. They succeed Mariette Goniva and François Pauly, who have both served since 2018 on the board.

Created by the Luxembourg State and the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in December 2008, the Fondation de Luxembourg's mission is to promote philanthropy. It supports private donors in the realisation of their projects of general interest. The Foundation helps to analyse projects carefully and offers a sheltering foundation structure allowing donors to structure their philanthropic commitments in the long term.

"I would like to thank Mrs Goniva and Mr Pauly for their commitment to the Fondation de Luxembourg, and sincerely welcome their successors with whom I look forward to collaborating on the Board of Directors of the Fondation de Luxembourg in the years to come", said the President of the Fondation de Luxembourg, Henri Grethen.

Mrs Danièle Wagener has served as Vice-President of the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte since 2019. Prior to her current position, she was the Director of the Villa Vauban for more than 30 years and of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum since its opening in 1996. Recognised for her experience and expertise in the cultural and artistic sector, she has been entrusted with several mandates in Europe, on expert committees such as the House of European History in Brussels, or the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as on boards, such as that of Mudam - Musée d'art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, among others.

Mr Yves Kuhn will bring an expertise acquired during nearly 30 years in the investment sector to the Board of Directors, notably in his last position as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg. Originally from Luxembourg, his professional experiences have led him abroad, working for renowned institutions in London and Zurich, such as Swisscanto AG and Pictet Asset Management.

The Board of Directors of the Fondation de Luxembourg welcomes these two new members and looks forward to their future collaboration.
