En date du 15 juillet 2021, le ministre de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche, Claude Meisch, et la Directrice Générale de la Fondation de Luxembourg, Tonika Hirdman, ont signé un accord visant à constituer la Fondation Auguste van Werveke-Hanno en tant que fondation abritée de la Fondation de Luxembourg.
