The Maison de la Culture d'Arlon is a cultural centre that collaborates with citizens to promote cultural rights such as artistic freedom, the celebration of heritage and cultures, access to culture, and cultural participation. Its project « En Résonance ! » is composed of several performances and workshops given by the Kollmeier sisters, both accomplished pianists, around Arlon.
The Kollmeier sisters, Louise and Léna, leverage their musical and educational experiences to foster inclusive interactions through music and piano improvisation. During their concerts, they invite audience members without any musical background to play alongside them, creating moments of openness that transcend social barriers such as age, status, and origin.
Moreover, « En Résonance ! » expands these efforts by organizing piano improvisation workshops and forming temporary choirs, especially in spaces where classical music is less prominent (e.g. refugee and youth centres, retirement homes).
