In France, it takes an average of 180 years, or six generations, for a descendant of a family at the bottom of the income scale to rise to the level of the average income. Created in 2005 in partnership with the French Ministry of National Education, Télémaque contributes to the revival of social mobility in France by supporting committed young people from disadvantaged areas towards their success.

Highly-motivated students aged 11-18 from disadvantaged areas are accompanied over a six-year period by dedicated mentors from the professional and educational spheres. By providing them with quality support until they reach the baccalaureate, students are empowered to reach their full potential.
Active across the country, Télémaque will now be able to roll out its programming across France's Grand Est region, first by reinforcing its action in Strasbourg and then by expanding to cities such as Metz, Reims and Mulhouse. The rollout will enable Télémaque to train local structures in their mentoring methodology.
