The number of young people facing academic distress continues to rise. For those placed in care facilities, school life is even more frequently marked by challenges, interruptions, or complete breaks in their education. Beyond simple homework help, personalized academic support—in close collaboration with the youth’s educators—is crucial in giving them the opportunity to catch up or reintegrate into the school system. Thanks to the Fit for School programme carried out by SOLINA Solidarité Jeunes, young people are given the chance to make a fresh start on their educational journey through tailored support, adapted to their individual needs.
Through this support, approximately 60 students a year are able to benefit from individual tutoring. This also includes language classes to help students reach the necessary proficiency levels to succeed in their schooling.
