PHILANTHROPY ADVISER

 

The Fondation de Luxembourg is a nonprofit European center of expertise and advisory in the field of philanthropy. The Foundation assists European donors in the structuring, development and monitoring of philanthropic projects in Europe and worldwide. Created by the State of Luxembourg and the Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in 2008, the Fondation de Luxembourg's mission is to promote and facilitate private philanthropic engagement.

 

Your Role

 

  • Managing and initiating relations with intermediaries of the Fondation de Luxembourg, in              particular private banks, but also law firms and notaries
  • Adviser to potential future founders
  • Primary point of contact for the Foundation’s membership within the network Transnational Giving Europe (TGE)

 

Day-to-day tasks

 

  • Manage the relationship with future founders until the creation of their foundation
  • Structuring of new foundations and preparation of the files and foundation contracts
  • Develop the foundation’s network of financial intermediaries and prepare and attend presentations and roundtables with these intermediaries
  • Together with the office manager, monitor the investment portfolios of sheltered foundations including the Socially Responsible Investment policy
  • Primary point of contact and coordinator of Fondation de Luxembourg within the Transnational Giving Europe (TGE)

Your Profile

 

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Legal, Business Administration or other related field from a reputed academic institution
  • Five to ten years of experience in either estate planning, wealth management, philanthropy advisory or similar role
  • High client- and service orientation as well as outstanding communication skills when interacting with sophisticated international donors
  • Solution-driven work approach with a high level of flexibility and personal responsibility
  • Rigorous and very well organized with a high level of accuracy
  • Fluency in French (native-speaker) and English is mandatory
  • Team spirit
  • Thorough knowledge of the main office tools
  • References
