The team at your service
The Fondation de Luxembourg provides an interface between two distinct worlds: the finance industry and its wealthy clients on the one hand and associations, NGOs and other entities working in the social field on the other. The team at your service reflects this mission and benefits from a detailed understanding of these two universes:
Tonika Hirdman, Director General :

Of Swedish nationality, with a career record in diplomacy, socially responsible investment and private banking, Tonika was the CEO of ABN Amro Bank Luxembourg S.A. before being appointed Director General of the Fondation de Luxembourg when it was set up in January 2009. Tonika is in charge of the day to day management of the Foundation. She also represents the Foundation in relation to its clients, intermediaries, external stakeholders and the general public. Tonika represents the Fondation de Luxembourg in the Management Committees of the Sheltered Foundations under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg.
Raoul Chevignard, Senior Philanthropy Advisor :

Of French nationality, with a career in the asset management industry, Raoul has been able to acquire a detailed understanding of the needs and aspirations of the clients of private banks and those of their advisors. He advises donors on the structuring and development of their particular philanthropic projects. More generally, he is in charge of all relations with the parties representing the donors (in other words, the donors themselves but also their advisors, banks, notaries etc.).
Christian Theis, Project Manager :

A Luxembourg citizen with extensive experience of development and humanitarian aid acquired in the field, Christian gives donors who are pursuing a specific objective the benefit of his expertise in the non-profit sector. He advises and guides them in the search for a project meeting their aspirations; he monitors the project implementation and evaluates the impact of the donors' engagement. He is also in charge of relations with associations, with particular reference to aspects of supervision and reporting on projects supported by the Sheltered Foundations under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg.
Annemie Besch, Office Manager :

A Luxembourg national, with a long and thorough experience with one of the "Big four" audit firms in Luxembourg, Annemie is in charge of the administration and daily internal operations for the Foundation itself, but also for the sheltered foundations under the Fondation de Luxembourg umbrella. Annemie also looks after the secretariat for the management committees of the Sheltered Foundations.
