Supporting the social and educational programs of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York

Maire and Carl Gustaf Ehrnrooth Foundation

The objective is to facilitate arts-based learning opportunities for a wide variety of audiences

The Guggenheim’s Sackler Center for Arts Education, an 8,200 square-foot learning, is the epicenter through which the museum develops and implements arts-based learning opportunities, including multi-session school partnerships, lectures by artists and critics, performances and film screenings, classes for teens and adults, and daily tours of the galleries. These programs engage more than 125,000 schoolchildren, youth, teachers, families, and adult learners each year. In addition to fostering a long-lasting relationship with art, art history, and the museum itself, the Guggenheim’s education programs strengthen valuable academic and life skills including critical thinking, visual literacy, and communication.
